Driggs, ID (Grand Tetons), Day 1, June 16
What an amazing day. Started with a hike in Darby Canyon, on the west side of the mountains. Beautiful: meadows, wildflowers, creeks, waterfalls (and a few rocks :) ).
Then for a guided wildlife tour of Grand Tetons National Park. We got super lucky. Our house knew not only his animals but also his flowers and other plants. It was the animals, though, that were amazing and we were extremely lucky to see: bison, pronghorn antelope, beaver, a 25 year-old mama grizzly bear with her cubs, elk, and moose--basically all the big mammals that are present in the park now! And then there are the mountains...
